To serve as a music minister in the Catholic Church is a privilege as well as a serious responsibility. It is a privilege because the gift of music is not given to everyone, and it is a responsibility because musical leadership must foster the ‘full, conscious and active participation’ of the assembly.
St. Ann Parish provides music for all Sunday masses as well as other liturgical celebrations. We do not hold regular rehearsals other than one hour prior to mass (in the choir room). Our men’s choir leads the 9 am Sunday liturgy. On the second Sunday of the month, we have a “youth choir” which is composed of middle and high school students and anyone else who would like to sing. Other masses are served by a pianist and one or more cantors. If you are interested in serving in this vital ministry please contact Martha Reid at (269) 629-7228 or firstname.lastname@example.org
