The start of a new school year is just around the corner and we are very excited about the inaugural year of Light of Christ Academy (LCA). Students will look forward to a freshly painted school, an amazing, fun natural playscape and a beautiful grotto in which they can spend time in prayer. We are very grateful to all of the people who have contributed their time, talent and treasure to make our school an inviting, faith-centered learning space for our students.
Our enrollment has doubled since last year (but we have plenty of room for more students). We have opened a second Montessori Atrium room and are welcoming some new staff to our school. Aaron Thibodeaux is a new upper academy instructor and he will be teaching theology and Latin and will be helping with our music program. Michelle Guthrie will be joining us in the afternoons to teach science in the upper academy. Coryne Mannes will be the new Guide (teacher) in the 2nd Montessori Atrium and Amanda Lawrence will be a Montessori assistant.
We are excited about what our school has to offer children; a Catholic-faith based Montessori and classical education. If you would like to learn more about how you can give your child the gift of a Catholic education, contact me and I would enjoy giving you a tour of the school.
