Our Knights are working to help end hunger in our community for those who struggle through hardship and homelessness. Every first Sunday of the month a group of Knights travels to Saint Phillip’s in Battle Creek Mi where we provide meals to over seventy of God’s children.
This year our Council will bring families into a more robust practice and better understanding of our Catholic faith and the Triduum. Despite Good Friday’s central role in Christianity attendance at services are low. Our goal is to set an example for our community by attending Good Friday Service with our families and encourage parish families into these liturgies.
Annually our Knights hold a “Keep Christ in Christmas” contest. We solicit the children of our parish to create posters that depicts their understanding of what it means to Keep Christ in Christmas. Once the artwork is submitted the Parish Community votes on their favorite by age group. Winners of each age group receives twenty-five dollars from our Council funds.
Our Knights provides support at the annual St Ann’s Parish Picnic by cooking Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and providing Ice Cream. We also bring in games for the Children of our parish to enjoy.
