The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is an ongoing process of inquiry, discovery, and prayer that helps one discern the voice of God.
OCIA is for those adults seeking full communion in the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism Confirmation and Eucharist. The individual soul
is immersed into the waters of New Life (Baptism)
becomes anointed with the gift of the Holy Spirit (Confirmation)
joins the assembly at the Eucharistic Table (Eucharist)
Each conversion journey is unique so OCIA is considered very much a process and not a program. While classes are prepared and presented in a way to completely, systematically, and cohesively share the doctrines of the faith an individual soul will receive, accept, and adhere to Church teachings as their personal conversion journey permits. Participation in the OCIA process is one of the most joyful and exciting aspects of the catechetical process offered through the Church. All are welcome and invited to participate. Please call the religious education/evangelization office to get more information.
