The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Ann helps our neighbors in need using pastoral charity with dignity. We also aim to assist in the spiritual formation and growth of our members through prayer, fellowship, and service. Through voluntary donations, we largely assist with the basic needs of neighbors in poverty, preventing evictions or utility shut-offs, or with food through our food pantry. However, to quote our founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, “no work of charity is foreign to the Society.

We are not social workers and do not serve "clients."  Rather, we are inspired by the Christian witness to do good to those we do not know.  Who is our neighbor?  Those we treat with compassion (Luke 10:25-37).  

Therefore, anyone who asks for help and we treat with love is a neighbor in need.

We are a 100% volunteer operation.  
·Call-in: Our neighbors in need call our number 269-389-0370 asking for help. 
·Call back: A volunteer returns their call, asks about their situation and collects information. 
·Data entry: That volunteer enters the information into our online data system as a request. 
·Meeting: Wednesdays at 1:10pm, we pray and listen to requests and talk about how we can help. 
·Follow-up: After the meeting, volunteers follow-up making calls and helping bills to be paid and pack food to be picked up. 
·We serve on average 6-12 families a week.
